これは、つい先日、インターネットで見た、物語です。
思い切って、英語で書いてみました。
It was five years ago.
I, Kokomi, was going to swimming school every week.
On a Sunday, I was not happy since my rival “Yamada” swam faster than I.
My real name is Fuyumi, but I prefer the name “Kokomi,” since this is a cute name.
As usual , I was walking down along the nearby park.
Then, I heard a call from Yamada.
I could not win him. So I said to him, “Yamada, next week, I will revenge. “
But Yamada said, “This is my last chance to talk with you. My parents get divorce and I have to leave here. Therefore, I cannot see you and cannot swim with you.”
It was a real shock to me, because I really liked to swim with him.
Because of the shock, I just opened my mouth and said nothing to him.
Yamada gave me a handkerchief and said, “This is my sign of good bye. I cannot swim with you any more. I miss you. Thank you very much.”
He turned around and ran away.
when I became a high school girl, my friend Saori game to my house and found the handkerchief Yamada gave me.
“Oh, what is it? A very old handkerchief. How can you keep it together with you? “
Hearing this , I answered to Saori, “I kept it for five years because it was my first love.”
Then Saori looked the handkerchief carefully, and found something.
“Kokomi, what is it?” She picked up a small letter.
I was shocked, picked it up and looked it carefully.
There was some phrases in it!
It was a letter from Yamada!
I haven’t seen it for about five years!
It said, “I am very sorry since I cannot meet you. But I hope you will give me a letter back to me. I am looking forward to hearing from you.”
I was pleased, because I wasn’t aware of the letter, and I decided to write a letter to him!
