ひきつづき、2級の自由英作文について考えていきましょう。
今回は、「高校生はボランティアワークをすべき」というトピックで書いていただきました。
ポイントは、Experience, Education, Value の３つです。
①I do not agree.
②I think volunteering is certainly a good activity for someone else, but I think that it is necessary to be paid to activists if host force it.
③Activities sometimes use physical strength by volunteering, so it is burden for them.
④It is a rule of society that employer pay for worker.
⑤If host want to gather high school student without pay money, it should recruit them who want to participate in activities. (76 words)
①は、読んだ人に分かりやすく、もう少し、与えられたトピックについて述べるようにしましょう。
②「確かにボランティアは、誰かのためにはよいが、ホストが強制するなら支払うべき」といういみでしょう。特に後半は、the employer should pay if he wants the youth to do what he wants. あたりになるでしょうか。
③「活動は体力を使う。だから若者にとっては負担」このあたり、ポイントが生かされていないように思います。
④「給料をもらって働くのが社会のルール」この部分も、給料だけにこだわりすぎているような気がします。
⑤「ホストが高校生を給料なしで集めて(働かせ)たいなら、活動に出たい人だけをリクルートすべし」ということで、テーマが、給料に偏りすぎたようです。また、hostということばが妥当かどうか。主語のホストが、単数なら a とか必要ですし、3人称単数の s を加えておくことも大切です。
わたしたちは、自由作文になると、つい、こうした基本的な文法事項を忘れてしまいがち。注意したいものですね。
①I think high school students should be required to do volunteer work for the two reasons.
②My first point is experience.
③Young people hang around with their peers.
④They do not see older people suffering from diseases or from having no one to talk with.
⑤If school requires them to do some volunteer work, they will understand what it means to get old.
⑥This is their valuable experience to help the elderly.
⑦Second, volunteer experience will change their values.
⑧Talking with the elderly makes them think carefully about their lives.
⑨For these reasons, I think volunteer work is good for them.
①の文のなかにテーマをいれておきました。
②経験について話します。
③peer は難しかったかもしれません。同年代の人々、という意味です。
④だから、老人の友人がいない。
⑤学校がボランティアを強制すれば、子供たちは、老人の生活を知るチャンスがある。
⑥だから、良い経験になる。
⑦二つ目にボランティアをすると、価値観が変わる。
⑧老人と話をすれば、老人の生活について考えるようになる。
⑨だから、ボランティアワークはよい。
