We are going to start Full-English Step 1st Course!!
For those who wish to study “Eiken 1 kyuu” in English, the instructor speaks all in English.
The course consists of the following activities;
First, the class begins with a vocabulary test. We focus on the words and phrases in the previous examinations.
The style is like this;
ren( ) = a performance or interpretation, esp. of a dramatic role or piece of music
The answer is rendition, which means a visual representation or reproduction.
In this way, we try hard to memorize the meaning of the words in English.
Second, reading aloud and recitation.
We pick up the 1st grade level reading material and read it aloud over and over again, until we will be able to recite.
In this way, we feel into the material and will be able to use the expression we memorized.
Third, interpretation. English teachers often use the expression, “Think in English,” but it often means that pick up some sentences easier to understand and summarize the whole.
We think what thinking in English means to make clear the message of each sentence and then understand the whole.
We check all the meaning of difficult words, and see what the writer wishes to say.
In so doing, we use English dictionary (Not English Japanese Dictionary).
Finally, we cover listening test.
