生徒さんに書いていただいた英検1級予想問題の英作文ですが、ほとんど直すところはありませんでした。
すっきりしたよい文章だと思います。
Are we overloaded with information?
I think that we are overloaded with information. It is difficult for a person to understand an issue and make decisions with the presence of too much information. I would like to discuss this matter from the following three viewpoints.
First, the Internet and new media, such as social networking services cause considerable information overload. More and more people get and offer information on the Internet, without knowing the validity of its context, or the risk of misinformation.
Second, our lives are filled with advertising, whether on TV, radio, the Internet, by mail or telephone, etc. The important thing is to consider and pick up only what you need.
Finally, let’s consider news and television programming. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, Japanese TV stations broadcasted nearly identical programs. They showed the damage from the quake again and again, while reporting few of the more recent events. News has increased in volume, but decreased in variety.
As aforementioned, there is too much information in our lives. The critical thing is that we should pick up only the information that we really need.
