旺文社の「７日間完成 英検準１級予想問題ドリル」のEnglish Composition の問題を参考にさせていただきました。
本日のタイトルにしたのは、次の英文課題を日本語に訳したものです。
Agree or disagree; The Japanese government needs to encourage young people to live in rural areas
ポイントとして次の４つがあげられています。
Lifestyle, Education, The economy, Elderly care
課題の解答方は、以下の通り。
Write an essay on the given Topic. (与えられた課題について、エッセイを書くこと)
Use Two of the points below to support your answer.(以下の(ここでは上記の)ポイントから二つ使用)
Structure; introduction, main body, and conclusion. (文章の構造；序論、本論、結論）
それでは、実際にぶっつけで書いてみましょう。立場としては、賛成を選び、教育と高齢者介助を選択しました。
I strongly hope that the Japanese government should encourage young people to live in rural area because of the following two reasons; Education and Elderly care.
First, let me tell you about education. The biggest problem in rural area is that the number of pupils and students is limited in Japan. For instance, on TV, we often see the number of pupils are quite few in rural areas. Recently, a TV news report an elementary school has only one pupil who is the oldest. He cannot join the class, instead, he just stays in another classroom and he alone read, study, and exercise. It is difficult to have active school life. The announcer said that there are many schools which have similar problems.
Second, Elderly care. Another problem is that most families in rural area consist of the older people. Most of them engages in farming, but in winder, the great amount of snow prevent them to work hard. Since they are very old, only few can clean the road full of snow. That’s why their sons and daughters should return to their houses.
That’s why I strongly claim that young people should go back to their hometown. Than things will be better.
