Seeing a DVD at home or going to a movie theater
I prefer to see a DVD at home for the following three reasons.
First, DVDs are economical. When you go to a DVD rental shop to borrow one, how much do you have to pay? Even the latest one costs only \250 or \300. If you watch a movie at a theater, you have to pay more than \1800. Even though you may have to wait for a year or so to see the latest movie, still the price is far lower than that of a theater. No wonder many people like to go to rental DVD shops instead of theaters.
Second, it is more convenient to see a DVD at home because you can do that in your spare time. At a theater, the starting time is set. At home, however, you can watch a film whenever you want to. When your telephone rings, you can just stop it, and start it again after you finish talking. Seeing a DVD at home is one of the most effective ways of making use of your time.
Finally, DVDs are easy to carry. At hotels or inns, if you just ask, you can get a DVD player, so that you can watch whatever film you are carrying.
For the aforementioned reasons, I like to see DVDs at home. It is economical, convenient and practical.
